Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Masjidio. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Use of the Service

Masjidio provides tools for masjids to share announcements, events, and collect donations, and for users to stay connected with their local masjid.

You agree to use Masjidio only for lawful purposes.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate others.

4. Masjid Management

Admins may claim or register a masjid on Masjidio. By doing so, you confirm that you are authorized to manage that masjid's information.

We reserve the right to review and verify masjid ownership.

5. Content

You are responsible for any content you post, including announcements, events, and media.

You agree not to post anything unlawful, harmful, or misleading. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

Masjidio has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. This includes harassment, hate, threats, explicit sexual content, violent content, graphic content, spam, and any other content that creates an unsafe environment.

6. Donations

Donations are processed securely through Stripe. Funds go directly to the masjid's Stripe account. Masjidio does not hold user funds.

Masjidio may charge a platform fee on donations, in addition to standard payment processing fees.

Masjidio is not responsible for how funds are used by masjids.

All donation transactions are between the donor and the masjid. Any refund requests or disputes must be handled directly with the masjid, subject to Stripe's policies.

7. Fees

Certain features may require a subscription or incur fees. All fees will be clearly presented before you are charged.

8. Shop Listings and External Checkout

Masjidio may allow masjids to display physical product listings, including product images, descriptions, and links.

When users select a shop item, they may be redirected to the masjid's or merchant's external website to complete checkout. Purchases are not completed inside the app.

Product availability, delivery, returns, and customer support for those purchases are handled by the respective masjid or merchant. Masjidio is not the seller of record for external shop transactions.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

Enforcement actions may include content removal, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, and other actions we determine are necessary to protect users.

10. Disclaimer

Masjidio is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the accuracy of content posted by masjids or users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Masjidio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Masjidio means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
• Interfere with the operation of the service
• Post or distribute objectionable, abusive, or harmful content
• Harass, intimidate, or threaten other users
• Evade enforcement actions by creating replacement accounts

14. Reporting and Moderation

Users can report objectionable content through in-app safety controls.

We review reports promptly and act on valid reports within 24 hours. Actions include removing violating content and suspending or terminating accounts responsible for offending content.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws.
